The government's indirect tax collection is expected to increase by 8.3 pc in the financial year 2025-26 (FY26), according to a report by ICICI Bank. State Bank of India and ICICI Bank, two of India's largest banks, on Tuesday said that there would be no immediate hike in interest rates due to the Reserve Bank of India's decision to increase the cash reserve ratio in banks to curb inflation.
